Biography

Mijo joined the firm in 2024 and is developing his skills in patent prosecution, drafting, and contentious work, while actively studying and training to become a qualified patent attorney. He works alongside experienced attorneys to assist a diverse range of clients, including multinational companies, academic institutions, and start-ups. He enjoys working at the boundary between science and patent law, where he can apply his academic scientific knowledge to a variety of technical fields.

Mijo has a background in studying Engineering Physics with an Msc in Data Science and AI at Chalmers University of Technology. This educational background gives him a broad base with which to understand and interact with many kinds of technology from electrics and machines, to language models.

In particular, his master’s thesis was on the topic of constructing an efficient querying tool for corpora (big text databases with multiple indices). The most commonly used tool is too slow for many queries. His work created a tool with better performance than the commonly used tool for most of the types of queries usually used by corpora users.
