Amin Abbaszadeh

Biography

Amin Abbaszadeh is a dedicated patent attorney with a distinctive blend of technical expertise and business acumen. Specializing in drafting and prosecution of patent applications, he is proficient in both European and international patent practices.

In his former career as a researcher Amin worked on multidisciplinary projects that spanned a wide range of technologies, followed by embarking on his own entrepreneurial endeavor in a research-based spin-off project. This combination of research experience and business insight broadened his perspective on commercialization of technology that has been instrumental in his transition to the field of intellectual property (IP).

Amin has worked in both private practice and in-house patent attorney roles, gaining valuable experience that gives him a well-rounded approach to IP management. He understands the unique challenges that businesses face, from startups to large corporations, and delivers practical, client-focused solutions with precision and strategic foresight that protect and enhance the value of their intellectual assets.

In his current role, Amin works closely with a diverse range of clients, offering expertise mainly in drafting and prosecuting European patent applications. In addition, he frequently conducts patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, and has experience in patent infringement and validity assessments, as well as representing clients in oral proceedings before the European Patent Office.

Amin’s broad technical knowledge spans various industries, including IoT, AI, and machine learning, electronics, optical and wireless communication systems, signal processing, imaging systems, microtechnology and semiconductors, quantum computing, microfluidics, medical devices, automotive connectivity solutions, and renewable energy storage and management systems.
